Ontario AI Scribe Program: helping clinicians reclaim time
Imagine if you could reclaim all the hours spent on documentation time each week. The Ontario AI Scribe Program, established by the Ministry of Health and Ontario Health, can help make that happen. By connecting clinicians with pre-qualified AI scribes from an approved Vendor of Record List, the program aims to make it easier and safer for clinicians to choose an AI scribe that’s right for them.
Removing the guesswork
The vendors were selected by a procurement process conducted by Supply Ontario, and supported by OntarioMD (OMD), based on criteria that included:
- Compliance with Requirements: Vendors and their products were evaluated against clinical, technical, privacy, and legal requirements for use in Ontario.
- Contract Due Diligence: Contracts were established with the approved vendors to minimize your exposure to risk.
- Clinician Needs: Supply Ontario helps you select the right AI scribe for you and come to an agreement with the vendor.
- Competitive Pricing: A pre-negotiated discount for your AI scribe better than what you’d get on your own.
Once you’ve selected your AI scribe, OMD can provide support, at no cost to you, to help you transition from less time with charting to more quality time with patients.
